Ify Jerry Crusade – Everybody Likes Something Good
I was listening to Sirius XMU radio the other day while I was driving to my work around 10am. This DJ (I forgot who… but I think it was Jake Fogelnest) was playing such a cool afrobeat/afrofunk music in 70s on that day, and I learned “Ify Jerry Krusade”. The song is called “Everybody Likes Something Good” got really cool beat, and reminded me of Black Keys a bit. Black Keys might be totally different genre but it makes me think all type of music genre influences each other in many ways.
I haven’t listened to afrofunk for a long time (I was into it probably when I was in early 20s) and now this song reminded me to listen to it more.
While I was researching who Ify Jerry Krusade was, I couldn’t get to find about the band at all however I found more bands similar including Fela Kuti.
先日Serius XMUというサテライトラジオ局を先日聴いていたら、ちょうどその時70年代のAfrobeat、Afrofunk特集をやっていたのかIfy Jerry Krusadeの「Everybody Likes Something Good」という曲を知りました。これが結構かっこいい! Black Keysをちょっと思わせる音がちらほらと見え隠れしていて、めっちゃ渋いのです。Black KeysとAfrofunkはぜんぜん違うかも知れないですけど、どこかしら音楽っていうのは色々なジャンルから影響されあって作られてるんだなーと感じました。枠にはまってきっちり作り上げるのもいいけど、枠からはみ出て作るのもぜんぜんいいんじゃないかと思う。
I just found out today who I am going with to Singapore.
I have another 2 partners and both of them are very easy going people, and I am finally excited about moving there now. I know I can do it. I know we can do it together. He knows how mirror works. It's amazing when I try to trick him, he looks at me through at it. / なっしゅくんは鏡の使い方を知っているようです。たまにじーっと見ている彼の後ろであーだ、こーだやっているとそのバカな姿を鏡越しで見て振り返るのが彼のくせ。たまに感心させられます。
